INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE OF GOLF BIOMECHANICS (ICGB)

The International College of Golf Biomechanics (ICGB), created by chiropractor and golf biomechanics specialist Ron Burke DCDO and endorsed by the Australian Golf Teacher's Federation (AGTF), offers an online introductory course in golf biomechanics for instructors. The course is "The Fundamentals of Golf Biomechanics for the Teaching Professional" and Andrew Cartledge, the Head Instructor at the AGTF, has been involved with producing the course and encourages all AGTF members to take advantage of this great opportunity to improve your skills as an instructor.

Golf biomechanics is becoming an integral part of the golf teaching profession. The PGA has introduced golf biomechanics as a compulsory part of their training. Each PGA golf professional must do a golf biomechanics course in order to maintain their elite AA standard. To keep pace with these changes the AGTF has done the same through GFTG and the ICGB. This user friendly golf biomechanics course will be part of any new student's curriculum and urge existing graduates to get up to date to maintain their elite teaching credentials.

This inexpensive online course is easy to follow and gives you enough knowledge for you to assist your clients without making you sit through complicated and confusing courses that practically expect you to understand medical terms and concepts taught in medical schools.

The course will help you understand:

  • how golf biomechanics works
  • the concepts of biomechanics in golf
  • why biomechanics is so important in order to produce the perfect swing
  • how biomechanics applies to your students
  • how what you learn in the course in combination with the Get Fit to Golf program can be incorporated into your teaching to aid in the analysis of your students' biomechanical problems.

Course 1: The Fundamentals of Golf Biomechanics For The Teaching Professional will be available soon from the new ICGB website. To lodge your interest in participating in the course and to recieve information about the course, how to enrol and the costs please fill in the form below and submit it. We will then email you the information once it becomes available.
